Wedding Planners’ Challenge: How Low Can You Go?

Budgeting is the most crucial part in planning a wedding.  It dictates everything like the number of guests, which suppliers to book, what menu to choose or even what you will wear.  We are sure you do not want a ‘just-to-get-it-over-with’ kind of wedding since you fancy reading this article in the hopes of picking up something you could use for your own big day.

Since we know that affordable doesn’t always mean quality, we sought the help of four wedding planners to prepare for us a detailed breakdown of the most affordable wedding they could muster good for 100 guests. We chose these coordinators based on one common factor: they were all former W@Wies (members of the WeddngsAtWork.com community) who have been very hands-on in planning for their respective weddings.  W@Wies are known for their intensive research in finding the best suppliers that fits their budget and these four ladies were no exception.

For this challenge, we didn’t put a ceiling on the total budget but instead allow each planner to run different totals so they’ll have a free hand in selecting suppliers they’ll be comfortable working with.  Note though that the suppliers mentioned are not necessarily their recommendations but merely possible choices given the budget.

Definitely budgeting is the most crucial part in planning a wedding. But once we have done it, we can breath relax. Here you posted chart is very much important for planning. I can decide how much should spend on what things. Perhaps we may commit a mistake to leave any important thing but the several tips in the article remind us to concentrate. I’m sure now I can make my budget easily.
    Thanks for the post.

  4. Maria Says:

I just received an email from Queen, her OTD rate is now 22k…

  5. dins Says:

curious lang po ako, most of the prices kasi that they posted, kelan pa yan? kasi when we went to UP Bonsai (we were considering UP Chapel pa nun) last September 2007 pa, hindi na pwede ang donation. more or less 10-15k depending kung garden or garden with the covered area. Kahit ang rate ni Angie Cruz is 10k na since late 2007…

medyo nakaka-confuse lang sa mga planning pa lang to get married…

  6. Anya Says:

When was this done? Is it recent? Most of the prices are no longer current, including the OTD rates of the coordinators. :(

  7. April Says:

WOW, this really helped a lot. how much would it usually cost to have your wedding in tagaytay?

  8. Benz Says:

First my apologies. I mistakenly gave the wrong file thus the list/rate was all old… as in 2006 old.

The rates and info you will see now is the updated one already.

Again our apologies for the previously posted outdated info.

i’m not a wedding planner or anything but i’m really good at finding good value for my money and i’ve really tested what i suggest to people..whether occasions, trips, etc..

you may think of me more of a “suggestor” than a planner..^_^

  22. abbie Says:

you should do this again benz :)
