About this Edition:

We’ve never been this hectic while in the process of completing the Bride’s Yellow Pages (BYP). Though our past five editions since 2003 were equally as challenging, there were so many other things we just had to do this time around as we were coming out with this 2008-2009 edition.

As we went to the press for production, we at WeddingsAtWork.com (W@W) were simultaneously collating materials for our next two publications: the two volumes of the 2009 W@W Desktop Gallery (yes, we’re coming up with two desk calendars for next year and those will be out as early as November!), and the maiden edition of the W@W-SRP (Suppliers’ Rates & Packages) which we are eyeing for a January 2009 release. Add to that the ocular visits and initial meetings we have to attend to as we lay groundwork for WeddingsAtWork.com’s 10th Anniversary Celebration next year. It’s a milestone event not just for us, but to all the couples (soon-to-weds and newlyweds) and all our colleagues in the wedding industry who made the site what it is today.

We acknowledge our W@Wie volunteers who took care of updating the contact info of each and every supplier (all 2,700+ of them!) just to bring you another accurate and comprehensive edition. Shout-out goes to Mylz (ni Brenz), Mandy (ni Allan), Sheng (ni Jeff), Jay (ni Alex), Anne (ni Joseph), Khim (ni Roj), Kristi (ni Mark), Liza (ni Toni), Hester (ni Jeff), and special mention to Tna (ni Jun) and Lillian & Michael (yes, even the groom helped out!). As always, the staff of Events by Clarice — Michael, Jorge and Marielle — assisted us with the stuff we couldn’t handle physically. Of course, we are also sending our deepest gratitudes to all our advertisers for the unwavering support.

If you’re a soon-to-wed and it’s your first time to hold a copy of the BYP — congratulations! Our directory is a practical list of the country’s entire wedding industry and what it has to offer to help you achieve the wedding of your dreams.

If you’re a wedding supplier, feel free to give this new edition the same ‘beating’ our previous editions suffered in your hands. Being an indispensable tool of the trade has it’s downside and we are honored that you made BYP the reference of choice though other wedding directories came about in recent years. The BYP is ready for the daily ‘torture’ and will only retire until the next edition comes around.

We’re truly proud of this edition, and we’re eager to move to the next task at hand. One job down, ten-ten-te-ten more to go….
