Inspired by Google Doodles, W@W will display a modified logo in its homepage header from time-to-time to commemorate a certain event relevant to the Philippines, to weddings, to causes we support or to the site in general. This page will serve as a gallery of sorts of the various logos we have made (more W@W Logos are displayed in our Community page).

Happy Valentine! Happy Valentine! Have your ordered your flowers for Valentine’s Day? How many? What color? Some say giving flowers speak a thousand words, but what do these say exactly? We want to share to all men out there the meaning and language of flowers so that they will be guided about their choice of blooms they’ll give their significant others on the 14th. Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Are you in the Pink of Health? October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In the Philippines, breast cancer is the number 1 killer among women. In fact, compared to the rest of Asia, we have the most number of breast cancer cases. What’s more alarming is that cases of women in their 30s are becomming common. Early detection is the key in fighting the Big C. The good news is women find 90% of breast lumps on their own. The bad news is that it’s estimated that only 33% of women actually perform routine Breast Self Exam (BSE). BSE should be performed on a monthly basis. For pre-menopausal women, the ideal time is 5-7 days after the last day of the menstrual period because this is the time when breasts are least lumpy and tender. This makes BSE more comfortable and also reduces the likelihood of a false alarm due to the finding of a lump resulting from cyclic changes.

We now also have a separate Ting Hun (Chinese Engagement) category in our online directory. Khiong Hee!

April Fooled yah! April Fooled yah! On the April 1, 2005 and also this year, surfers who accessed www.weddingsatwork.com were automatically redirected to our ‘mirror site’. In internet parlance, the term refers to a site which is an exact replica of the original site but on a different server. We played on this concept, except instead of an exact replica, we designed a mirror image of the site. Our inspiration for this witty idea has been elgooG which is a more elaborate and sophisticated ‘mirror’ of Google. It got ALL of Google’s page backwards! When one does a search, the seach word(s) should be backwards too. =) See the search result page for the term krowtasgniddew (that’s ‘weddingsatwork’ backwards!).
