Love & Law Series:
Property Relations in Marriage

(from Manila Standartd Today) When a man and a woman are about to get married, they are-well, almost always-so madly in love, that talking about and agreeing on issues of property is unthinkable. These matters are just not spoken about between love-struck couples for fear of hurting or insulting the other. What most people do not know is that this is a vital matter that must be agreed upon before marriage especially if one has properties to his or her name even before tying the knot... [MORE]

Love & Law Series:
Jilting at the Altar

(from Sun.Star Davao) Jilting your spouse-to-be at the altar could be a financially painful action. In fact, if Julia Roberts in the movie Runaway Bride, where she ran out of three weddings, had ran out of the wedding in the Philippines she could have faced three lawsuits for doing so.... [MORE]

Love & Law Series: Pre-Nup Agreement

We'll be devoting this week to a series of topics which deals with the legal aspects of marriage: (from Amazon Wedding) "The mere words 'prenuptial agreement' can act like ice water thrown on hot wedding plans. And that's understandable. Discussing the division of your assets before you even put on the rings is far from romantic. For many couples, however--and we're not just talking the mega-rich--the protections and clarity of a prenup are a critical part of getting happily hitched...." [MORE]

Dance for 2 Minutes Max!

While doing our regular visits to some of the W@Wies' wedlogs, we read an interesting article posted in Glo (ni Jun) blog a few days ago. It's called "Secrets to Choosing Your First Dance Tune" written by Sara Brodsky of Best Foot Forward which offers "Wedding Crash Course" for soon-to-weds to learn how to move comfortably and confidently for their first dance. It's actually a sound concept which is yet to be offered by a dance school here in Manila (that's one business idea right there!). Anyway, just visit Glo's blog to read the article.

7-Year Hitch!

March 19, 2006 would've come by and went just like any other day here at W@W. But one W@Wie -- Nenet (ni Edwin) - sent to the group this very meaningful email which reminded us the significance of the day. Exactly seven years ago, we formally launched W@W in one bridal event introducing to all attending soon-to-weds what we are and what we offer. A few found it "weird" that we got a booth with neither a product nor service to sell. In hindsight, we realized that what we sold was an idea. Seven years hence, that same idea lives on. Salamat po sa patuloy n'yong pagtangkilik!

AVP Week: Finalé! - 'Timeless'

What better way to end our AVP Week than with a video by the pioneer of today's non-traditional, non-linear video editing. Take a look at this video and let it speak what they can deliver.

AVP Week: Day 4 - A Love Story

A couple, a sunset and silhouette. If the screencap on the left looks like a poster right out of a romance movie, that's maybe because it's exact how the treatment for this AVP. It tells the love story of the couple. If you're a fan of HK/Korean films like John of Inxites, you might even recognize some of the scenes. Check out the video insights of Inxites.

AVP Week: Day Three(logy) - A Montage of W@Wies!

Today's video is especially done for our AVP Week. Our friends from Threelogy compiled and edited this fast-paced video in honor of all the W@Wie brides whose wedding they have covered. How fast? If you know the classical piece called "Flight of the Bumble Bee," that's the song they used here. The short video featured 18 W@Wies in a span of less than 47 seconds. Buzz your way to see the video.

Buddy wants to share this video because unlike the usual wedding AVPs that focus on the love story of the soon-to-weds, this one served as a special tribute to the couple's loved ones. Wedding Songs by the Senator's Wife

(PrepTalk - 03.04.06) A good Filipino wedding love songs come out few and far in between. We don't recall hearing a new OPM wedding song in recent years. That is why when we learned that a particular wedding song stood out during the run of "Pag-ibig sa Bayan" - a musicale based on the life of Senator "Nene" Pimentel and his wife Bing in the Martial Law era -- we got curious...
