19 SEPTEMBER 2006 A Highlands Wedding!
Still can't get enough of celebrity weddings? Checkout the softcopy of "Highlands View", the official newsletter of Tagaytay Highlands. See various never-before-seen photographs by Wally Gonzales taken from Raymart & Claudine's wedding. The accompanying article also mentions about The Wedding Chapel which will soon open its doors for soon-to-weds. It mentions that it's a Catholic venue and just a stone-throw away from the Midlands Golf Clubhouse and promise to have a commanding view of Taal Lake and the Batangas countryside. Download the newsletter (in PDF fomat).
This guy here is not just a wedding photographer. John Ong(Jong to colleagues in the industry) composed one of the biggest hits back in the 90s. Which song? Mention the band Orient Pearl and the Tagalog version of this song comes to mind. We've known this piece of info before and we are glad that he's now sharing that it with the rest of the world thru his personal blog. Wanna listen to the song? 12 SEPTEMBER 2006 Oh My Gulay!
(photo courtesy of recfoodcooking.org) Are you & your partner vegetarians or strictly vegans? Are you considering 'Bounty Harvest' as a theme for your wedding? Or do you simply want to be unconventional? Why not ask your florist or event stylist to design a one-of-a-kind veggie bouquet for you? Use broccoli flowers instead of tulips. Try coriander or cilantro instead of the typical angel's breath. Add some romaine lettuce for foliage. Or get more creative and try carved carrots, squash and olives and shape them into colorful blooms. Sounds like a recipe for success! The possibilities really are endless! All you need is a little imagination and a some guts to carry something original on your big day. For edible vegetable bouquet centerpieces, inquire with your caterer or the hotel banquet officer. There are kitchen artists that they could tap to do them for you. You may head on to veggiebouquet.com and gourmetbouquet.net for more design ideas.
07 SEPTEMBER 2006 AVP Week: Day 5 - A fitting finalé!
There is only one other WEVA Gold which brought glory to our country and that's courtesy of an onsite video edit by Jason Magbanua. Visit US-based wedding video forums and his talent is also renowned halfway across the globe. No kidding! There is no other way to describe Jason's video presention here since one simply could not excpect anything less from THE J-man! Let's end the AVP week with fireworks. Bring it on!
06 SEPTEMBER 2006 AVP Week: Day 4 - White Weddings turn Mango Red!
Whew! We were seriously concerned that the scheduled video for today would not make it on time. You see, we invited Naga-based Mango Red to do a short teaser but its editing somehow got tangled amidst the frenzy of the annual Peñafrancia festivities in Bicol which has gotten their hands full. But it's here, and it's truly worth our wait. Indeed, their video lives up to the spunk of their website and the way how edgy their photo shoots and album layouts look. We can only find one word to describe the clip: CINEMATIC! See it below.
05 SEPTEMBER 2006 AVP Week: Day 3 - A sequel to Threelogy
Our next video is from a fresh and young talent (the guy's only in his twenties!) whose name we first came across only this year. Bob Nicolas is the new guy on the block and fellow videographers agree that he's somebody to watch out for. The treatment of his one-minuiter clip here starts slow and builds-up towards the end. Watch it!
02 SEPTEMBER 2006 AVP Week opens with an Award Winning Video!
During the first quarter of the year, we had our very first AVP week here in our blog. We bring it back this week to showcase more breathtaking one-minuters from some of the industry's noted videographers.
