Wikipedia states that boudoir is a term used to describe a revealing style of photography where implied nudity is common. It's a wonder then if something this sensual would ever crossover as part of wedding photography especially for Filipina brides. Basing on the blog comments here, we learned that some Pinay soon-to-weds are open to this new idea. And why not? A wedding is THE day a woman should look and feel her most beautiful. Though it's crucial she should feel very comfortable with her photographer for this to work. Just recently, Fol Rana, Jr. squeezed in a bridal boudoir session within the wedding preps. Props to the bride for daring to do it on her big day! The result are these tasteful images posted in Fol's blog.

The February 2008 edition of YES! magazine includes a feature on the December 3 wedding of actor/comedian Vandolph Quizon(son of comedy king Dolphy and actress Alma Moreno) to Jenny Salimao which was held at the Fernbrook Gardens. 23 JANUARY 2008 A Prenup Pictorial atop Mt. Apo!

When Jong Peloton and Ruby Ong decided to climb it for their e-session, they comissioned Davao-based photographer and mountaineer, Rhonson Ng. The unique pictorial was featured recently in Sun.Star Davao. Here's an excerpt:
"Jong was also a mountaineer buddy of Rhonson. It was the bride, Rubi, who was a first timer. Instead of getting freaked out by the experience, they wore their gown and suit at the top of the peak and declared their love above the clouds, right where the sunset suddenly transformed the skies into a fiery red and orange. For Rhonson, he got his pre-wedding dream images."

11 JANUARY 2008 NSO shelves seminars for priests on wedding requirements

The National Statistics Office (NSO) has revoked a provision in its administrative order requiring solemnizing officers to undergo seminars before they would be allowed to conduct marital ceremonies, GMA's 24-Oras reported Thursday. "We realized that it has sparked protests, so we have decided to revoke that particular provision of the administrative order requiring an orientation seminar," NSO administrator Carmelita Ericta said. The Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) welcomed the decision. "I could not comprehend how a Catholic priest would not know this because [we have gone through rigid training] so everybody knows that," Monsignor Pedro Quitorio, CBCP spokesman, said. And there it was... a streak of heart-shaped light spanning around, above, and behind the soon-to-weds. OlyRuiz of Metro Photography gave us a heads-up of this prenup shoot involving some 'light grafitti' they've done recently. The idea of 'playing with lights' for an e-session came to him after seeing this awesome Sprit ad. So how exactly were the effects done? Certainly not with photoshop. Today, Jan. 6, 2008 is considered an auspicious wedding date for those who believe in Chinese numerology. For the Chinese, 01-06-08 or 168 ('yat luk fat' in Cantonese) sounds like 'yat low fat' which means road of prosperity or to be prosperous together hence the name of this bargain mall in Divisoria. But a more popular date is August 8, 2008 or 888 which loosely translates to 'three times the prosperity.'
