Yes, it’s The W@Wie Awards season yet again!
And since The 2008 W@Wie Awards is happening during W@W’s 10th Anniversary Celebration, we deemed it fitting that we have a new look and a new logo for the awards.
The artwork is based on the figurative sculpture design for the new “Wedding Supplier of the Year” trophy — a commissioned art piece by sculptor Paul Quiaño (he’s the same guy who did the sculpture of the young Rizal & his mother reading a book installed at the National Teachers College seen along Legarda St. in Manila).
But let’s get back to the order of business today. Here are the TOP TEN nominees for the 2008 Wedding Supplier of the Year in alphabetical order.

- Josiah’s (catering)
- K by Cunanan (catering)
- Nice Print (photographer)
- PartyPics (photo booth)
- Phoeben Teocson (videography)
- Raymund Fortun (photographer)
- Threelogy (videography)
The W@Wies have revealed their choices. While most of the names which landed on the magic list were Top 10 nominees from previous years, four are first timers. And yes, the familiar lawyer’s name included in the list is not the name sake. He is the same guy!
Anyway, the scores of the Top 10 will now be back to zero as the W@Wies vote anew to determine our Top 5, and ultimately, the 2008 W@W Supplier of the Year.
Winners will be announced during the awarding ceremonies which will be part of the “Ten-Ten-Te-10” main event to be held on March 20 (Friday) at the Fernbrook Gardens in Alabang.

Hi Benz! Thanks for waking me up with the best news today. =) You really made our day. You see I usually wake up at 8am since I got pregnant but today I woke up at 6am. Hehe. Asteeeeeg!!! May Top 10 na, I’m dying in anticipation as to who will make it to the Top 5!
I’m super dooper glad that two of my nominated suppliers landed on the Top 10. I’m really hopeful that they make it to the Top 5, and of course it will be much much better if any of them (Jayson or Kaye) becomes the “Supplier of the Year” c”,)
Meanwhile, I’m so liking the new logo. It’s so cool!!!

My utmost thanks for everyone who have been supportive of my work.
Even in my wildest dreams, i did not expect this honor. I am literally a “babe” in the wedding photography industry. Wala pa po akong 1.5 years na may hawak ng SLR camera, and i was never into film photography.
That being said, please vote for the other members of the Top 10 as Top Supplier instead of me. Just being in the Top 10 is enough reward.
My gratitude to all for their continued faith in my work. I will repay that faith with more energy to improve my imagery.
